This is my first blog, so let me introduce myself.....
I have lived in Virginia all of my life, born at the Fort Lee Army Base in Petersburg, VA. I grew up in Chesterfield County and have lived in the City of Newport News Virginia since 1999. My real estate career began in 2000 where I have been helping families buy and sell homes across the Tidewater area. Cities in Tidewater include, Williamsburg, Newport News, Gloucester, Yorktown, Hampton, Smithfield, Isle of Wight, Suffolk, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and many more surrounding towns/counties. I have stayed with the same company since 2000, Rose and Womble Realty Company based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
I was privileged to work as an integral partner with Darrell H. Walling, ABR, CRS, GRI, SRES from 2001-2009 until his passing in September 2009. Working with "The Walling Group" proved to be one of the largest assets to my growth in the business. In 2004, Darrell was named VPAR Salesperson of the Year and in 2007 we were named VPAR Sales Team of the year. Every year that we worked together we were Platinum Award winners which put us consistently in the top 15 out of hundreds of agents on the Peninsula. What a great accomplishment and honor to work and learn from such a consummate professional. He is and always will be near and dear to my heart and deeply missed.
I hope to be able to share with everyone my real estate experiences, successes, and lessons learned. So many things have changed in the last 10 years in this business. One of the main changes is that technology has taken the "Helm" (pun intended) of driving buyer traffic. And now being a Realtor involves so much more than just "finding" property. Go with me on this blogging journey to educate, inform and just plain share my life as a Realtor.
